OTHER PROJECTSThe VR film is designed to be shown with special goggles on the terrace of the Museum of the City of Gdynia, overlooking Śródmieście, Kamienna Góra, Kępa Oksywska, the city beach, and the port. This modern and accessible form of storytelling allows residents and visitors to compare the VR image of Gdynia from one hundred years ago with the contemporary view from the same perspective.
The initiative marks the centenary of Gdynia’s city rights by making history more engaging and interactive. By combining immersive technology with a unique location, the project offers an educational and cultural experience that brings the city’s past closer to a wide audience.

From June 30 to August 12, 2025, film lovers in Gdynia will once again gather on the shores of Orłowo Beach for the 15th edition of the Orłowo Summer Cinema – Poland’s only open-air film series set directly on the sand.
The Mayor of Gdynia announced an open competition for film projects - education and cultural projects (e.g. festivals, events, workshops). We invite non-governmental organizations registered in Poland to submit applications for co-financing of their projects in 2023. They can get up to PLN 60,000. Application deadline: February 20, 2023.
The list of films and radio documentaries selected for the main competitions of the 17th NNW International Film Festival in Gdynia has now been published. This year’s edition of the Festival will take place from 2 to 5 October, with all events hosted in Gdynia.
