Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Gdynia Polish Film Festival, this year’s programme brings together timeless classics and iconic hits from both cinema and television, performed by leading orchestras, ensembles, and soloists.
In October, audiences are invited to five distinctive concerts, each offering a unique perspective on music inspired by the screen:
Directed artistically by Krzysztof Dąbrowski, Gdynia Classica Nova is the city’s leading festival promoting classical music. Organised by the City of Gdynia, it stands as the largest event of its kind in the region.

The Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival has just concluded its 10th edition in Gdynia. This year also marked the 22nd edition of the festival overall, making it one of the longest-running film events in Poland. Once again, the festival found a perfect home at the Gdynia Film Centre.
From April 14 to 16, 2025, Gdynia became a hub for cinematic reflection and dialogue during the Gdynia Film Criticism Days – a unique event that combined film screenings with in-depth discussions led by some of Poland’s most respected film critics and cultural commentators.
The city of Gdynia and the Safety Brake Association, organizers of the Film Criticism Days in Gdynia and the Summer Cinema in Orłowo, invite you to a new autumn-winter series of film screenings dedicated to masters of world cinema. The series started on October 19th with the Iranian film "Holy Spider," followed by the renowned Korean film "Parasite" a week later.
