Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Gdynia Polish Film Festival, this year’s programme brings together timeless classics and iconic hits from both cinema and television, performed by leading orchestras, ensembles, and soloists.
In October, audiences are invited to five distinctive concerts, each offering a unique perspective on music inspired by the screen:
Directed artistically by Krzysztof Dąbrowski, Gdynia Classica Nova is the city’s leading festival promoting classical music. Organised by the City of Gdynia, it stands as the largest event of its kind in the region.

Reel Short is an educational film workshop series dedicated to young aspiring filmmakers aged 18–25 who are just beginning their journey into the world of cinema. The program offers a unique opportunity to explore the art of short narrative filmmaking — with a clear focus on the realities of the Polish film industry.
The Mayor of Gdynia announced an open competition for film projects - education and cultural projects (e.g. festivals, events, workshops). We invite non-governmental organizations registered in Poland to submit applications for co-financing of their projects in 2023. They can get up to PLN 60,000. Application deadline: February 20, 2023.
From June 30 to August 12, 2025, film lovers in Gdynia will once again gather on the shores of Orłowo Beach for the 15th edition of the Orłowo Summer Cinema – Poland’s only open-air film series set directly on the sand.
